Here in England, we are in the last few days of Autumn but there is plenty still to enjoy. I have been out and about in the past month, recording the colours that nature has given us. This year has been a good one for foliage tints and berries. I have added a new gallery called Autumn Colour to reflect this. Most of the images there are new but a few are from previous years.
Officially, Winter here begins on December 1st - although the hard frost this morning tells me otherwise! - and will go on until the end of February. As a photographer, l want lots of snow with clear, crisp and frosty mornings. It's an opportunity for macro lenses and starburst filters. I love sparkling light.
A certain newspaper has "expressed" an opinion that Britain is about to be hit by the worst winter in living memory. This may prove to be nothing more than sensationalism. Most long-range forecasts do not agree with this but all long-range forecasts are doubtful affairs which rarely come true. However, l am ready for it if it comes.
